Mr H was walking his dog by a local farm when two collies came rushing out of the farm gate barking loudly and defending what they obviously saw as their territory. One of the dogs bit his hand resulting in him having to attend hospital and have surgery. He had been due to go on holiday the following day and the holiday had to be cancelled. An early admission of liability was secured and we arranged for Mr H to be seen by a local plastic surgeon. The injury he had suffered was complicated and the repair took time to heal and we had to liaise closely with those treating Mr H and the expert to make sure that when we came to settle the claim the prognosis was clear and Mr H was fully recovered and getting the compensation he deserved. We also made sure he got the cost of his cancelled holiday back.
