A postman was carrying out his round in Basingstoke when a gentleman and his dog passed him. The dog leapt across his owner and bit the postman’s coat. The dog then released the coat and bit the postman on the back of his leg.

As a member of The Communication Workers Union the postman could have gone to the Union’s panel solicitors. However, he decided to use our specialist dog bite team who have such an enviable track record in winning dog bite claims.

We agreed to deal with his compensation claim on a No Win, No Fee basis.

We reviewed the evidence and soon secured an admission of fault from the dog owner’s insurers.

We then arranged for the postman to be examined by specialist independent medical experts who prepared reports confirming that as well as scarring he had also suffered psychological injury as a result of the attack.

After a few weeks of negotiations we were able to reach an out of court settlement of this postman dog bite claim.

Because we offered to match the funding agreement of the postman’s Union solicitors he walked away with 100% of his compensation.

The postman summed up his experience of the specialist dog bite lawyer who handled his case, Jasmine Moxey-Butler, saying, “Your work and help has been exceptional.”

If you are a member of a Union and have suffered a dog bite or have an existing case with a Union solicitor and are not happy with their expertise then call our free legal helpline for guidance. We can discuss what has happened and how we can help you recover the compensation you deserve on a No Win, No Fee basis.
