Our specialist dog bite lawyers have recently secured a £55,000 compensation settlement for the innocent victim of a dog attack.

Our client, Mr P, was volunteering with a company that specialised in supplying family protection dogs. Unfortunately while he was volunteering he was attacked by a Dobermann, suffering a bite to his right wrist. Then, a month later, he was attacked again by a different Dobermann, this time suffering a significant bite to his arm.

The incidents were very traumatic for Mr P, and as well as sustaining physical harm, he also suffered psychiatric injury.

Mr P approached our helpline for a free case assessment. We offered to assist him in claiming compensation under a no win – no fee agreement, and specialist dog bite lawyer, Jasmine Moxey–Butler, took on the case.

Jasmine was able to quickly secure an admission of liability for both incidents from the insurers of the company Mr P was volunteering for.

Although Mr P was not living in the UK, we were able to obtain specialist medical evidence and treatment recommendations from a plastic surgeon and a consultant clinical psychologist.

This resulted in the insurers making an offer to settle the claim, and after some negotiations an improved settlement package was agreed that provided for Mr P to receive compensation of £55,000, plus his legal costs.

As this was an out of court settlement, Mr P did not have to attend court, and he was absolutely delighted with the outcome.
